Erik Ten Hag has been looking for a new striker all summer, the club had many options and many rumours about the position, but none of them could be consolidated, now it seems that Rasmus Hojlund is the right one to fill the gap and be the striker they have been waiting for.

What is true is that there was always a lot of interest from both sides, both Manchester United wanted to bring Hojlund and in fact in the last offer they offered more for him, as a symbol of commitment, as well as the intentions that the negotiations would not fall apart, but also the striker has shown a lot of openness to talk and try to reach an agreement that can benefit all parties involved.

A couple of days ago the club unveiled their latest proposal for the striker which is around 52 million euros plus 8 million in variables, this is a little more than what they had planned to pay, however, Atalanta would have raised the price of the player due to the great interest of several teams in Europe to sign him, so United would have to adjust their initial offer if they wanted to be in the fight for the Dane.

Now according to multiple reports, the favourite to sign Hojlund is Manchester United, so it is expected that in a matter of days, as by next week an official announcement will be made and he can present the medical exams to join the team, this certainly excites Ten Hag who would have commented that he wanted to occupy it for the last games of the preseason.

Hojlund's dream

The Danish striker has always been very open to making a move to Manchester United a reality, as it has always been his dream since he was a child to play at Old Trafford, so although there has been interest from other teams, Rasmus Hojlund has always been clear about where he wants to play next season and, like the fans, hopes that his move to the Red Devils will soon be made official.
