Less than a week ago, former Manchester United footballer Eric Bailly slammed Manchester United. He took advantage of the fact that he is no longer in the club, as his signing for a french club, and accused the English club of an act of discrimination.
The defender said that Manchester United gives priority to footballers who were born in England, over foreigners, like himself, who was born in Ivory Coast.
He wasn't good enough for Manchester United and he still criticizes the club
Karma has reached Paul Pogba after leaving Manchester United
The accusation was taken by some as a indirect message to Harry Maguire, on whom more criticism falls than any other player. The Englishman does not seem to perform well on the field, however, he kept playing weekend after weekend in the starting eleven.
On the part of Manchester United there was silence after Bailly's harsh statements, however, today Erik Ten Hag finally spoke, when asked about the serious accusation of his former footballer.
The Manchester United coach did not want to talk much, so as not to give prominence to the controversy, however he was very clear with his words: "Nationality is not questioned when I select my team," said the boss. Also, with Harry Maguire on the bench for the past 4 games, Bailly's theory vanishes.
