Since the end of the 2022-2023 season, Manchester United has been trying to reinforce its squad, as Erik ten Hag is aware that with the current squad it is practically impossible to compete to win the Champions League or even the Premier league, that is why they are already working to make the first signings for next season.
However, it will not be easy to get the signings, because on the one hand Manchester United faces an economic crisis derived from the sale of the club that has not been defined and that has the fans, players and coaching staff pending of what can be done in this summer transfer market.
In that sense, Erik ten Hag does not know for sure how much money he will have available to sign players, and that is why he will have to put his hopes in finding other ways to convince target players in possible signings for United. The Dutch tactician has already looked at the free agent market but is also exploring players who did not have much activity last season and who would be looking for a change of scenery.
Manchester United are reportedly trying to steal a signing from Liverpool, as it has been revealed that the Red Devils are in the race to sign Ryan Gravenberch, who currently plays for FC Bayern but did not get the amount of playing time he would have liked last season.
Ryan Gravenberch has stated that his main intention for next season is to get a lot more playing time, as he wants to become an important player. In that sense, FC Bayern would not be able to guarantee him more playing time, while Erik ten Hag would be delighted to have him in his squad as he already managed him at Ajax.
