Manchester United boss held a press conference ahead the second Premier League game of the season when they will visit Brentford. After a disappointing defeat against Brighton & Hove Albion last Sunday, the manager and his players have worked really hard in training in order to get the three points with them tomorrow.

The Dutchman was asked about what went wrong against Brighton, and he said that despite losing, they took somethings away from that match: “We learned a lot, but I think it is normal when you start the season. That part is the same, the team get together, the way we’re playing, new start and you make mistakes, football is a game of mistakes. We know we have to improve”.

The former Ajax coach was questioned about how he is handling the pressure of being in charge of such a big club: “I know there is always pressure, I have the experience. I know we have to win every game; I know the fans, and everyone expects Manchester United to win every single game. We have to deal with that and all I can do is prepare the team as well as I can this weekend”.

Erik ten Hag will try and correct the things that went bad last week as he has the obligation to win against The Bees away from home. If he and his team do not win tomorrow, all fans and media pressure will boil up to the point where they will start doubting if he has what it takes to lead Manchester United back to the top.

It won’t be an easy game

Even though last season the Red Devils won their two Premier League fixtures against Brentford, they are not a team they should take on lightly. They rescued a point in the last minutes of their match against Leicester last weekend after being 2-0 down. They have Ivan Toney upfront who can cause problems to a very fragile defense of Manchester United.
