By now, every Manchester United fan should know what kind of character the new manager brings to the table as he has shown in just a few months that he isn’t afraid of telling his players that they are not good enough and benching some of the team’s superstars.

He has already dropped from the starting XI the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Harry Maguire, Luke Shaw, and the new signing Casemiro. Even though these players are one of the most expensive squad members on the team, he doesn’t care about that and will only play with the players he believes are in good form.

The real reason this player left Manchester United has been revealed, it's not what you expect

As he only aspires for the very best, he urges his players to perform at a certain level and standard to represent Manchester United, the biggest club in the world. After the 4-0 defeat against Brighton earlier in the season, he canceled the players' day off and made the entire squad run 13.6 km the very next day.

He has also shown that he isn’t afraid of standing up to the club’s board members in order to make them sign only the players that he wanted and not just any player that could be available at a cheap price. He isn’t afraid to speak up and that’s exactly what this club needed.

What did he do in training?

There was some footage revealed on social media showing Erik ten Hag screaming at Manchester United’s academy player Zidane Iqbal for not passing the ball well during a training session. In the video, you can hear the manager saying: “Keep the ball on the floor! Zidane, hey! Keep the ball, rubbish!”, among some cursing.
