Erik Ten Hag was less than satisfied with the outcome of yesterday's game against Barcelona, but it is a result that he can settle down with, especially with a reverse fixture coming up at Old Trafford in the coming weeks which delights him.
The Red Devils were happy to have Casemiro back in their starting lineup in the European club competition last night. The Brazil International hasn't featured in the last few games for Manchester United in the Premier League as he served a three-match suspension for a straight red card.
Sadly for Manchester United, they will have to be without Casemiro when they welcome Leicester City to Old Trafford on Sunday. The Brazilian will be serving his last and final match suspension in the visit after already missing the double Leeds United game in a recent week. He will surely be a big miss for the game.
United had to play Barca without one of his best players in Lisandro Martinez, who was suspended for that the first leg after picking up several yellow carried in the group stage fixture of the competition. In his stead, Luke Shaw was given a go-ahead as the left-sided center-back for the game.
With his one-game suspension completed in the Europa League, Lisandro Martinez is now available for selection once again. Ahead of this week, Martinez and Marcel Sabitzer are now back in contention for the weekend game against Leicester City.
