Erik ten Hag wanted to have a new goalkeeper for the next season, and now that he has André Onana in the team, it seems that he forgot about every other option.
Erik ten Hag wanted to make sure that Manchester United had some new keeper for the next season, and after letting David de Gea walk away for free in this transfer window, and now that it is official that André Onana has become the new number one keeper for Manchester United there are some stadistics that show that Erik ten Hag could have made a wrong move.
The preseason has already started for Manchester United, and now it is a fact that across the first two games for the red devils Matej Kovar has averaged a total of 94.2% pass accuracy between both games, and the other fact is that no Manchester United keeper averaged more than 80% last season, meaning that he could be better than expected.
Despite Matej Kovar being the best keeper of Manchester United in one of the most important categories for Erik ten Hag, the manager did not count with him for the next part of the preseason that would take place in the US, and the reason could be that they are waiting for a deal that cold take Kovar away from the red devils squad.
The fact that has been reported by several sources now is that Matej Kovar could be looking to leave the team on a loan deal, and now it seems with this type of stadistic that Erik ten Hag could be wrong in not letting the 23 year old keeper stay with the red devils squad to prove if he can mantain those kind of numbers with the Manchester United first team next season.
