After the defeat against Tottenham, Manchester United is very clear that it will have to make moves to strengthen the squad, as there are still some positions that are not quite solid, so in these two weeks left in the transfer window, the board will try to bring in the targets that the coach is asking for, as he recognises that these players would help to give a new face to the team.
One of the positions that seem to be more solid or at least that is what has been demonstrated at the beginning of the campaign, has been the goalkeeper, Ten Hag has made a great recruitment by bringing in André Onana who has shown a very quick adaptation and in a matter of a few games has become one of the stars of the team, this certainly makes the other goalkeepers feel relegated, as they know they will see very few minutes during the season.
In addition to that, the Dutch coach has made it clear that, despite having the Cameroonian goalkeeper as his starter, he plans to bring in a new young player whose role is to be a substitute, but who can gain experience in the "not so important" games, so one of the goalkeepers who would not have a place in the squad would be Dean Henderson.
The English goalkeeper has been on the back foot all summer, as he was unable to be present during the pre-season due to a thigh injury, he lost the opportunity to earn a starting place, for that reason during the start of the season he has not seen a single minute and it looks complicated as Ten Hag has informed him that they will look for a way to transfer him.
During the pre-season when the English goalkeeper was injured, Nottingham Forest had shown interest in the player, however, they could not reach an agreement, so now that he knows he can not get minutes during the season he agrees to try a transfer again, for that reason Crystal Palace would be interested in signing him on loan with an option to buy, so we will see what happens in the coming days.
