The transfer market is still in full swing, many of the clubs are making moves to strengthen their squads for next season, for Manchester United it has also been a busy summer, as the club, although they already have two signings in place, they are looking for a third and the options they have are all of great quality.
As we know the manager intends to cover all possible positions, first he focused on midfield by bringing in Mason Mount, who was not easy to bring in as the club had to negotiate for several weeks with Chelsea who had already rejected three previous bids, yet United were able to get one of the players they had been looking for since the summer began.
The next position the manager had in mind to reinforce was goalkeeper, because after the urgency of not having a first choice goalkeeper following the departure of De Gea, the club had to act quickly to bring in a replacement, André Onana, was the one chosen to cover that position as he already knew Ten Hag after his time at Ajax, so the reunion was very special for both of them.
Now the club is looking to reinforce a third position, which would be in the defensive part, the coach has already thought that David Alaba could be the perfect signing, as his experience in the best teams in Europe could help the team in all the competitions in which they are going to play, so it is just a matter of United putting an offer on the table to start negotiations.
With the possible arrival of David Alaba, there would be a player who would have to leave the team, as many had speculated Harry Maguire would be the player most likely to leave, as well as sharing the same position as Alaba, the coach would have informed him that he was no longer in his plans, so he has little time left at the club.
