Cristiano Ronaldo’s possibility of staying at Manchester United this season is increasing in recent hours according to the Italian journalist Carlo Laudisa from La Gazzetta dello Sport, who reported that the potential moves to Napoli and Sporting Lisbon are looking very unlikely at the moment because of the amount of money he costs.

There were some recent reports suggesting that Napoli would be open to signing Cristiano Ronaldo in a loan deal without paying any of his wages while sending Victor Osimhen on loan to Manchester United with an obligation to buy for €100 million. This was reportedly proposed by Ronaldo’s agent Jorge Mendes in his latest attempt to get his client out of Old Trafford.

The two Portuguese men have been been trying to find a new club for the 37-year-old striker all summer after Manchester United and he failed to qualify for this season’s UEFA Champions League. The former Real Madrid forward doesn’t want to take any part of the blame and wants to leave the club as soon as possible.

Jorge Mendes has offered Ronaldo to almost all of the teams that will be participating in the Champions League this year, but almost all of them have turned down the possibility of signing him because he would be very expensive with his transfer fee and his high wages. However, Napoli are looking like the only club that could get him out this summer.

He lost his place at United

Erik ten Hag has made sure that Cristiano Ronaldo knows that no one is bigger than Manchester United after benching the Portuguese superstar in three of the first four Premier League fixtures this season. The Dutch manager didn’t like that CR7 missed the entire pre-season tour while trying to find another club, and he is letting him know. If he ends up staying, he might return to the starting XI.
