Sheikh Jassim Al Thani is one of two contenders looking to take over Manchester United; while the glazers are still making a seemingly eternal decision, fans and those close to the club want to know what the final verdict will be.

While the Manchester United team is preparing for pre-season, the situation with Sheikh Jassim could take a 180-degree turn, as during the last few weeks, there had been talk that the Qatari would practically be the new owner of United, but in the last few hours things have changed and the negotiations could take a different course.

Sir Jim Ratcliffe is now emerging as the favourite, due to the different conversations he has had with the Glazer family, and the proposal of the British businessman has captivated the Glazers because they would still have a percentage of the shares, so they would not be too far away from the club, while Sheikh Jassim would seek to have full control of the team.

However, what could be more worrying and what would end up distancing the sheikh from the negotiations, is that there would be doubts about the Qatari proposal and its financing by the parties involved in the process of selling Man Utd, although the negotiations are now stalled, the glazers will have to find a way not to lose the sheikh's offer and put an end to the situation by making a decision.

The offers from both contenders

Sir Jim Ratcliffe and Sheikh Jassim, have already put their offers on the table for some time, the British businessman would seek to keep more than 60% of the shares, leaving the American family with 20%, while the Qatari Sheikh offered 6,000 billion dollars, which would pay part of the debt that the club has and also an economic way to bring any player and remodeling in the club's facilities, besides that has made it clear that he would seek to have full control of Manchester United.
