Ahead of the match against Liverpool, Manchester United finally unveiled Carlos Henrique Casemiro right before kick-off. The former Real Madrid player posed with his new colors, took a selfie, and also talked to the Red Devils’ media about his first impressions since arriving in England this afternoon after saying goodbye to Real Madrid.

“The opportunity to start a new challenge at Manchester United and in the Premier League is extremely exciting. Everybody knows the history, the significance of the club around the world, and what it means to its supporters. To represent United is an honor and I’m ready to give everything to help the team achieve our ambitions”, he told United media.

He remembered his former managers and believes Erik ten Hag is a great coach after talking to him before arriving at Old Trafford: “I have worked with many great managers in my career and, having met with Erik and heard his ideas, I can’t wait to work closely with him, his staff, and my new teammates in the coming years”.

He said one final goodbye to Real Madrid and is already looking forward to playing with the Manchester United jersey: “I’m ending one beautiful journey in Madrid whilst starting another in Manchester as determined as ever to win football matches, win trophies, and make our fans proud by bringing success to this great club”.

Great atmosphere

Manchester United fans welcomed him with a great round of applause before the start of the game. The midfielder then was caught by the cameras enjoying that first-half performance of his new teammates against Liverpool with a packed Old Trafford behind the team.
