While Manchester United will remember and celebrate this victory till the next match day, Casemiro will surely be hoping to forget about it totally as he nearly cost his crucial points. The Brazilian International turned a comfortable moment into an intense one for the Red Devils.

Manchester United was fully in control of their game against Crystal Palace after an early goal at the start. A Marcus Rashford moment created a handball penalty situation which was confirmed via VAR. Bruno Fernandes took charge of the penalty and put United ahead in the sixth minute.

Casemiro was very integral to United's free-flowing attack in the game as they tried to extend their lead. Marcus Rashford did so in the second half and scoring from a Luke Shaw square play inside the 18-yard box of the visitors. They looked set for a comfortable win.

But a scuffle in the 69th minute changed every as Casemiro got a straight red card for violent misconduct. The Brazilian midfielder was seen putting his hands on Will Hughes's neck in a dangerous manner that was caught by VAR. Manchester United eventually saw out the game 2-1 after Palace got a goal from their one-man advantage.

What does this mean for United?

The Red Devils are now resigned to losing their best midfielder to their next three league games following his straight red card. Casemiro's incident was shocking for fans as it put the team in utmost jeopardy for their coming games as they now miss yet another midfielder. Donny Van de Beek, Eriksen, and Scott McTominay are currently injured.
