In the summer, when Manchester United announced the signing of Casemiro to the club, no one was happier than Raphael Varane and Cristiano Ronaldo to be reunited with one of their friends and best colleagues. The trio was part of Real Madrid's dominance across Europe in the past decade.

Casemiro quickly became an important part of the team just like Varane and unlike Ronaldo, who eventually left in search of a new adventure. The pair of Varane and Casemiro became well-backed leaders with Erik Ten Hag's support in recent weeks to help build a winning mentality across the club.

But the last few weeks have been challenging for Casemiro after he was forced to miss a couple of Manchester United games due to a red card suspension, which he completed and recently got back into team selection until another incident occurred in United's latest league game.

The Brazilian was sent off in yesterday's game for a bad collision with a Southampton star as they both challenge for the ball. A VAR check increased the severity of the punishment to a red card offense, as Varane and the rest of the team fought to earn a point from the game.
