Real Madrid’s manager Carlo Ancelotti, has confirmed that Casemiro has told him and the club that he will be leaving in the next couple of days to Manchester United while both clubs try to reach an agreement for the Brazilian player fee. It was reported last night, that the Red Devils made a bid of €60 million plus €10 m in add-ons.
The 30-year-old midfielder was caught earlier today arriving at Madrid’s training center in Valdebebas one hour and twenty minutes before the start of their training session. He then was seen training normally alongside his teammates for 15 minutes, but apparently, he did this so he could say goodbye to them and the coaching staff.

Hours later, Real Madrid’s manager Carlo Ancelotti held a press conference ahead of their match tomorrow against Celta de Vigo. The Italian manager was asked about Casemiro and he confirmed he will leave: “I have spoken with Casemiro. He wants to try a new challenge. We respect Casemiro and his decision. He wants to leave”.
“We didn’t try to convince him to stay. I listened to his desire. I respect him. He won’t play tomorrow. There are negotiations ongoing, nothing is official, but his will to leave is clear. Yesterday I realized it was a real thing. Casemiro’s teammates respect him and his decision. They love him, the club loves him. We are not sad, we are respectful”.
Spanish newspaper Marca, reports that Casemiro’s transfer to Manchester United will be completed today. However, despite United’s efforts to try and get him to play against Liverpool on Monday, he will not be eligible because transfers must be finalized by midday on the previous working day, as per The Athletic.
