The wait is over, Manchester United have finally unveiled their new goalkeeper for next season, the fans were waiting for this moment to make official the arrival of André Onana as one of the objectives that the coach would have had during the summer.

Ten Hag can confirm his second signing of this market, as the Cameroonian goalkeeper is one of the players that the club would have been looking for, his arrival at the club comes just at the time when the coach had planned, as he hoped he could join for the tour of the Red Devils in the United States, for that reason the presentation was this afternoon in New York while the other players are already concentrating for the game on Saturday.

There is no doubt that the signing of Onana is something that all fans have been waiting for, for as with Mason Mount, the club had lengthy negotiations with Inter Milan, which at one point had seemed to be stalling; the Italian team rejected two offers because they were not within the parameters of the value they had imposed on the goalkeeper.

However, after two weeks of lengthy uncertainty the team were finally able to finalise the player who is expected to usher in a new era for United and can defend the goal as David de Gea, who had to give up his place for a new rebuild, once did.

Onana's first words as a United player

During this afternoon Manchester United would make official the presentation of André Onana as the new goalkeeper of the team, in his first statements the Cameroonian goalkeeper commented that he was very excited to return to work with Erik Ten Hag and that he has the goal of contributing to the success that the club is destined to achieve; in addition to that he concluded saying: "Joining Manchester United is an incredible honour, and I have worked hard all my life to get to this moment". So all the fans will now be looking forward to the goalkeeper's debut.
