While it seemed at some point that Anthony Martial would be one of the first players to leave the team, now it seems that he could be staying with the club at least one more year.
The fact is that Erik ten Hag is desperately looking to sign a new striker for the next season, in fact some sources believe that he could actually be looking for two players, and it seems that Anthony Martial would not have a space with the team for the next season, but now things are changing and he could actually have a really important role with the team.
Now it has been reported by “Manchester United Evening News” that Erik ten Hag has confirmed to Anthony Martial that he is most likely going to stay with the team for the next season, the main reason being that he would have a really important role by sharing his experience with Rasmus Hojlund and make the move to the Premier easier for him.
The fact is that Erik ten Hag now sees in Anthony Martial a player that could really help a young striker like Hojlund to adapt way faster into a competitive league like the Premier League, and that is why they are currently open to keep him, and while he won't have a lot of playing time, he could be ready to become the teacher of the new signing.
The main issue with keeping Anthony Martial in the team is because he currently has a salary of 10 million euros and the fact is that from the office of the team believes that is way to much for a player that is not going to play a lot, but with the experience could be the only reason to keep him now.
