Manchester United are still looking for reinforcements for the next season, and they are still relying on young players, as Ten Hag's main focus is to work with players with whom they can have a future project and develop their full potential.
During this search the coach would find a player with the perfect qualities for the club, but not only that, Liverpool and Klopp would also be very interested in the young star, both teams have already asked for his value and United see themselves with the best chance of keeping him.
The player we are talking about plays for Southampton, his name is Romeo Lavia and he plays in the midfield position; although the club already has many players in that position, Romeo would come as an option for the coach and to give depth to the team; besides Ten Hag would see him as a project to develop and he could learn in the process of players like Casemiro, Bruno Fernandes or Eriksen himself.
Lavia's market value is not very affordable for the club at the moment, Southampton have reportedly let both Liverpool and United know that they would be willing to accept a figure in the region of £50m, with Ten Hag somehow looking to poach the young star and leave Klopp without another signing.
During last season the Belgian-born midfielder, could shine with Southampton who would have bought him from Manchester City's youth academy, Romeo had great performances that caught the attention of many teams, including Manchester United who would be more than willing to sign the player; in his first season in the Premier League the young player played in 34 games, scoring one goal and being present in more than 2,500 minutes, so we can get to think that the development of Romeo can be growing in the following seasons.
