Manchester United have been trying to sign Cameroonian goalkeeper André Onana for a week now, there has been a lot of talk about his arrival at the club and the impact he would have on Ten Hag's scheme, so the fans are already looking forward to seeing him in the red devils' shirt.
The departure of David de Gea left a big hole to fill in the goalkeeping position, the Spanish player could not reach an agreement with the team to renew his contract, so in the last week he had to say goodbye to United, where he spent 12 years; the coach in this situation would have to find a replacement soon.
Inter Milan goalkeeper, André Onana, was one of Ten Hag's top picks from the start of the summer and was one of the players on his wish list to reinforce the team; after almost a week since the first offer for the goalkeeper was made, the club considers that these days are key for his arrival, as within the next 48 hours the signing could be finalised, so Ten Hag would finally have his first-choice goalkeeper.
There is no doubt that Onana's arrival at Old Trafford has many fans excited, as it would mark a new era in goal, plus the coach would very much like to have a goalkeeper who is comfortable with the ball at his feet and can come out playing from deep, trying to emulate what Liverpool and Manchester City do with their respective goalkeepers.
Manchester United have already tabled three bids for the Cameroonian goalkeeper, two of which were rejected because they were too low compared to the £60 million Inter Milan were asking for, however, the latest offer of around £50 million plus £5 million in bonuses could bring Andre Onana very close to joining Manchester United.
