Erik Ten Hag has put together a great group of players, although still in a rebuilding process, the team has already shown signs that it is on the right track and that it can return to the winning path we are all used to, as some decisions this summer have shown that this season is worth getting our hopes up. 

To begin with, let's talk about the signings, Manchester United had several gaps to fill for this campaign, the team had looked good, but reinforcements were needed that could bring the idea of play that Ten Hag wants to demonstrate, for that reason the arrival of Mason Mount and André Onana are of vital importance, because their positions are the ones that most need a change. 

The midfield needed another player with the same quality as Casemiro and Bruno Fernandes, with the intention of forming a trident that would serve as the backbone of the coach's system; the goalkeeping position was equally important, as after the departure of David de Gea after twelve years in goal, the club would have to look for the right replacement and Onana was where they would find the perfect goalkeeper. 

Another good decision that was made this summer was the change of captaincy, as we all know for some strange reason Harry Maguire became captain of United, however, just a few days ago the manager confirmed Bruno Fernandes as our new captain, no doubt it pleased the fans who believed that there was no better person to occupy the armband.

The French defender would have appeared as one of Manchester United's options to fill the captain's position, although Bruno deservedly won it, Varane has shown himself to be a great leader and with his experience, could be one of the manager's favourites to be one of the leaders of the dressing room, in addition to that, the defender recently said: "We need players with character and personality.
