Altay Bayindir became a Manchester United player today. The goalkeeper, coming from Fenerbahce, signed a contract until 2027. According to Marca, Erik ten Hag's team paid £4.3m for the acquisition of the 25-year-old Turkish goalkeeper.
Bayindir thus becomes the first Turkish player to ever play in Manchester Utd. Which is a source of pride for an entire nation. Likewise, it is expected that the player will compete for the starting position with the newly arrived Andre Onana, who has had excellent performances with the Red Devils so far.
Upon his arrival at Carrington, Bayindir appeared visibly excited and even shared some emotional words during his presentation: "It's a great honor to join Manchester United," he said. Similarly, the player interacted with his fans for the first time as a United player in social media.
“Hello Red Devils, I can't wait to meet you at the Theatre of Dreams[…] I am aware of the greatness of this club and I will fight till the bitter end to be worthy of this jersey[..] United for the Glory", (Altay Bayindir, Twitter)
