After Martinez's miss against Tottenham, Harry Maguire could be handed a chance for Man United's next game

Manchester United were defeated in a controversial match against Tottenham Hotspur, where the second half was completely dominated by the team led by Postecoglou who took advantage of the lack of concentration on the defensive side and were able to take home advantage in a match that ended with a score of 2-0, so the coach will have to make serious decisions for next week. 

Erik Ten Hag has stated that the start of the season for the Red Devils has not been at all as expected, because despite getting a victory in the debut, the team's performance has been irregular since the final games of the preseason, this has made the coach begin to analyze the possibility of making changes. 

One of the possible changes for the game against Nottingham Forest would be in defence, as Lisandro Martinez had a difficult game against Spurs, after carrying an ankle injury during the week that kept him with reduced training so he could be ready this weekend, however, the Argentine defender scored an own goal that ended up sentencing the Red Devils away defeat. 

So Harry Maguire could see a chance for the first time this season, after not being called up for the game against Tottenham and being on the bench against Wolves, so Ten Hag can give him minutes to prove he can fight for a starting place.

Harry Maguire seems that he will remain with Manchester United for this season, because he could not reach an agreement with the board in the payment of compensation, as the defender was asking for 15 million pounds, so West Ham became desperate and withdrew its proposal to find a new alternative, this leaves Ten Hag with the option of using the British defender during the start of the campaign.
