Manchester United has been characterised during this pre-season in giving the opportunity to the younger players, this with the intention that they can get more experience, in addition to being able to demonstrate their qualities so that the coach can decide what to do with them in the future.
For that reason, Erik Ten Hag has taken very seriously the players that he has taken out of the academy, the confidence that the coach shows them makes the players exploit their full potential during the preparation matches, therefore they could have the opportunity to earn a place in the main squad, although it remains to be seen how these young players continue to perform, something that we can be sure of, is that Ten Hag is very clear that these players are very necessary for the project that the team has.
As we already know, United is going through a period of renewal in all senses, the team is looking to keep the most important players in the squad and sell those who no longer fit in the plans, in addition to that the young stars play a very important role, as they bring a new air of freshness that helps the team to be able to glimpse the promising future that awaits us.
Because of this, Ten Hag has made an important decision regarding a player who has stood out not only in the two pre-season games, but also from the youth system, as he has been one of the best players of his generation and could possibly become a star with United.
The 18-year-old midfielder has impressed the manager and the whole team over the last two games, and his performances have led Ten Hag to have him as part of the first team for next season, rather than sending him out on loan as had been thought earlier in the summer. This is undoubtedly a great opportunity for the young star, who will surely exploit all his talents.
