Manchester United have a number of complicated situations to resolve before the end of the summer, one of those issues is the future of Mason Greenwood, and the club will need to make a quick decision that suits both parties.

The 21-year-old has been involved in some off-field problems that have kept him out of football for almost two years, Greenwood has just been cleared of any charges against him and immediately after he was able to return to training, he has been seen training on private pitches in an attempt to improve his performance so that Ten Hag can count on him for the start of the season.

However, the coach has a completely different plan, the idea of Ten Hag is to send Greenwood on loan, this with the intention that he can have a gradual return to the courts without the demands that come with being at United; this is certainly one of the best options for the player, as the loan would only be for one year.

This could also help the coach to see if the English striker is capable of returning to his best and if he is, he could return to Old Trafford to continue his career; there is no doubt that Mason Greenwood had great potential to have been a great player, however, the problems off the pitch have led the club to have to make a difficult decision to keep him or send him on loan and see how he evolves.

Greenwood's situation now

The issue would have seemed to have been closed and with the manager's decision to send him out on loan, but in a surprise turn of events, Manchester United's main sponsor, Adidas, has approved the striker's return, as secret talks have been held in recent days and described as "positive" to give him a second chance and keep Mason Greenwood for at least one more season at Old Trafford.
