Ronaldo's relationship with Ten Hag was rocky throughout their short time together as the Dutchman preferred to lead United's attack with much younger Marcus Rashford than Ronaldo, who was Man United's top scorer last season across all competitions.
His contract was terminated during the World Cup break by mutual consent and shortly after he received a staggering multimillion contract offer from Al Nassr football club in Saudi Arabia, which he eventually accepted after the World Cup campaign with Portugal.
According to reports, Cristiano Ronaldo has declared that he plans to change the mentality around Saudi Arabia beyond football and also the way people look at football in the Middle East after putting an end to his Europe club chapter.
