Dutch manager Erik ten Hag's team held the record for spending on players for Manchester United. The amount spent in the summer by the team exceeds £200 million. The club's officials have been confident in the style the manager wants to implement.

Manchester United will explore a possible replacement for Cristiano Ronaldo, who is out of contract in 2023 and is in a position to leave the club if a tempting offer comes in, the same offer he sought this summer, which is why the 37-year-old Portuguese missed pre-season.

This is Erik ten Hag's first disagreement with his management

Club officials recently went straight to Erik ten Hag, telling him they will not be looking to spend in the winter transfer window. All indications are that options will be sought to continue building the project that the coach wants to impose. The team has to get back to the elite, it is already ten seasons without Premier League.

The interest in the Frenchman who belongs to Barcelona and is on loan at Atletico Madrid, Antoine Griezmann, has been rumoured if possible arrival in the Premier League with the Red Devils. According to reports from the Daily Express and Calcio Mercato, Manchester United are interested in pursuing Griezmann's signature.

The Frenchman has become an option as he is a profile that Manchester United are looking for in their approach, and also because the striker has a €40 million clause that the British team would be willing to pay. Atletico Madrid seem to be unwilling to pay that amount, as the player does not play more than 30 minutes and thus avoid paying that amount.
