While Manchester United are still overwhelmed by getting into their first final in the new era under Erik Ten Hag, they have received more exciting news from the club. The 2-0 win last night and the aggregate 5-0 scoreline against Nottingham Forest sends United to  Wembley.

The favorite last night didn't showcase the lightness of their midfield due to the overall quality they displayed against the visitors at Old Trafford. Fred came in as a valuable substitute for Christian Eriksen in the starting lineup after his recent injury blow, which rules him out till late April.

To address the midfield loss, Manchester United have now announced the signing of Marcel Sabitzer on loan from Bayern Munich as their newest addition to the squad. Sabitzer was signed to replace Christian Eriksen and add further depth of quality to Erik Ten Hag's current team.

Sabitzer's deal was orchestrated in the deadline day transfer frenzy as the club tried to salvage the Eriksen injury situation. Sabitzer was reportedly keen to join the club after speaking with Erik Ten Hag and negotiation sped up quickly. It was concluded in time for the closing of the transfer market and he could be in line to feature on Saturday against Crystal Palace.

Will Sabitzer fit at United?

Although the signing of Sabitzer feels like a panic buy, the play holds an exceptional quality that makes him the right fit for Ten Hag's style of play. His tall and well-built physique with his mobility makes him a much better upgrade to Eriksen for Ten Hag's style. The Dutch manager also revealed that he has been following Sabitzer from his younger years at RB Salzburg and is delighted to have him at United.
