With Marcus Rashford's future at Old Trafford uncertain, Manchester United are reportedly eyeing Brighton & Hove Albion's Evan Ferguson as a potential replacement.
The Red Devils have been on the lookout for a new striker to bolster their attacking options and the young Irish forward has emerged as a prime target. Ferguson's impressive performances for Brighton, despite limited game time, have caught the eye of several top clubs.
The 18-year-old has shown glimpses of his immense potential, showcasing a clinical finishing ability and an eye for goal. His versatility, allowing him to play as a central striker or out wide, makes him an even more attractive proposition for United.
However, acquiring Ferguson will not be easy. Brighton are understandably reluctant to part with one of their most promising young talents and are likely to demand a significant fee. Reports suggest that the Seagulls value the teenager at around £60 million.
Despite the hefty price tag, investing in a young, promising talent like Ferguson could be a shrewd move for United. The club has a history of developing young players and Ferguson could be the next big thing to come out of their academy.
While Ferguson is the frontrunner for the position, United are also considering other options. The likes of Viktor Gyökeres of Sporting CP and Bayer Leverkusen's Victor Boniface have been linked with a move to Old Trafford.
The potential arrival of Ferguson could signal a new era at Manchester United. With his pace, power and technical ability, he could form a formidable partnership with Marcus Rashford or Hojlund.
