Sir Jim Ratcliffe was confirmed as Manchester United's new owner a few weeks ago and since then he has been assessing the changes that need to be implemented quickly to make things run as smoothly as possible. In his first interview since then, he acknowledged that refurbishment work is needed at Old Trafford and even stated that his preference is to build a completely new stadium.

But that's not all, as on the pitch there will also be many changes. The team's performances this season have been disappointing, as well as the level shown by some of the squad's players. That is why in the next transfer window some of them will leave, while the idea is to sign top-level stars that will help improve the team.

However, it's not all bad. According to The Mail, Ratcliffe and other chiefs of the INEOS group are pleasantly surprised with the performances of four Manchester United players and that is why they have decided to declare them untransferable. The first of these is Rasmus Hojlund, who had not lived up to expectations during his first few months in England, but who has been at his best for some weeks now, scoring several important goals.

Two other youngsters from the club have earned a place in the team this season thanks to their talent and hard work: Kobbie Mainoo and Alejandro Garnacho. The English midfielder started playing in November after an injury and has never been out of the starting lineup since. And the Argentine winger has proven to be the most dangerous of the squad's forwards, excelling even over Marcus Rashford and Antony.

You'll never guess the last one

Rasmus Hojlund, Alejandro Garnacho and Kobbie Mainoo are players that any Manchester United fan would pick as the team's standout performers. But the fourth of Ratcliffe's 'untransferables' is unexpected: Diogo Dalot. The Portuguese right-back struggled to earn a place in the starting lineup and received harsh criticism from fans, especially for his defensive frailties. But for the new owner he is a key part of the team and will remain for a long time at Old Trafford.
