One of the biggest traits a person can have been to have dedication and to prove someone wrong. Resilience is another trait, and for athletes it’s the resilience that keeps you going because the doubters and haters will always be there. And the group of players that face the most doubts and hate is Manchester United players. United have the biggest global fanbase which leads to expectations and pressure. That’s life at the club.

One of those players this season has been Sofyan Amrabat. The player arrived on loan from Fiorentina this summer and the expectation and pressure placed upon him was high. The club chased him all summer long, so fans expected a great player. To them the thought process is what’s the point of a transfer saga if the player is not good. And life for Amrabat was not the easiest of starts at the club as he found it hard to get consistent game time and play his position. The manager would put him at left back and the player would put average performances at the position. The coach would eventually move him back to his natural position of being a six.

What doesn’t help the midfielder is the emergence of a young star in Manchester. 18-year-old Kobbie Mainoo has taken the club by storm with his performances for the club so far and has impressed the coach and made himself one of the coach’s favorites. With the youngster looking like he has solidified his spot in the starting 11, and Casemiro set to return to the club very soon, where does that leave the Moroccan midfielder.

The midfielder was able to leave the club for the next month as he is competing at AFCON and can showcase what he can do for his country and get into good match rhythm. The midfielder missed preseason, so this is a good opportunity for him to finally get a nice run of games.
