Former Manchester United defender Mikael Silvestre has expressed his belief that Cristiano Ronaldo will score 1,000 goals in his career.
Silvestre, who played alongside Ronaldo at Manchester United, believes that Ronaldo has the ability to score another 300 goals. He said, "Cristiano Ronaldo will score 1,000 goals, and it will be an incredible achievement. For someone to start his career as a winger and then score more goals than Pelé is extraordinary. I believe he will score his 1,000th goal because when he sets his mind on something, he achieves it."
Ronaldo is currently 37 years old and shows no signs of slowing down. He is still one of the best players in the world and is capable of scoring goals from anywhere on the pitch.
Silvestre believes that Ronaldo's longevity is due to his dedication to fitness and his ability to adapt his game as he has aged. He said, "Cristiano Ronaldo is a machine. He trains so hard and he takes care of his body. He is also very intelligent and he knows how to adapt his game as he gets older. He is still a very dangerous player and he will continue to score goals for many years to come."
If Ronaldo is able to achieve his goal of scoring 1,000 goals, he will join an elite group of players. Only a handful of players have scored more than 1,000 goals in their careers, including Pelé, Ferenc Puskás, and Gerd Müller.
