It feels like there is a transfer rumor surrounding every Manchester United player as a lot of futures are uncertain at the club after this summer. When there is change at the top, an overhaul beneath is expected. We saw the overhaul that happened at Chelsea when Todd Boehly bought them. If you currently look at their squad, how many players were there before the ownership change. A change has happened upstairs for United and now everyone is being audited and watched as Sir Dave Brailsford is auditing the club for the next 8 weeks. He’ll get a good look at the squad.

The right back position has been one of the weaker positions in Manchester United in the past decade. Since Gary Neville, the club have struggled to replace the legend as the closest they got was the Da Silva twins who had a couple good seasons for United. But since then, we have seen a lot of chops and change at the position. It got to the point that United converted two wingers to play right back in Ashley Young and Antonio Valencia to play at the position. They handled the switch well, but it wasn’t to the quality that is truly desired at the top level.

There has been one player that can claim the title of the most consistent right back since Neville and that is Aaron Wan-Bissaka. The player was signed for 50 million pounds in 2019 from Crystal Palace and has been a mainstay in the United starting XI since then. Since last season he has been splitting more time with Diogo Dalot.

The right back’s future at the club has been under serious question lately as his contract was set to expire this summer but the club triggered the one-year option to keep monetary value. The player has been recently linked with a reunion to Palace in a potential swap deal for Michael Olise, who is a top United target.
