Manchester United's injury woes could be set to continue, with Noussair Mazraoui facing a race against time to be fit for their upcoming match against Ipswich. The defender picked up a knee injury during Monday's game against Everton, and the club are awaiting the results of further tests to determine the extent of the damage.

Mazraoui has been a key player for United this season, making 24 appearances in the Premier League. His versatility has been a valuable asset to manager Rúben Amorim, with the Moroccan international able to play at both right-back and centre-back.

A lengthy injury list

The potential absence of Mazraoui would be a blow to United, who are already without a number of key players due to injury. Lisandro Martinez, Luke Shaw, Mason Mount, Amad Diallo, and Kobbie Mainoo are all currently sidelined, leaving ten Hag with limited options in defence and midfield.

The extent of Mazraoui's injury is not yet known, but the club are hopeful that he will be available for the Ipswich game. However, if he is ruled out, it would leave United with just three fit defenders: Diogo Dalot, Victor Lindelof, and Harry Maguire.

Amorim may be forced to call upon some of the club's academy players to fill the gaps in the squad. The likes of Charlie Savage, Zidane Iqbal, and Alejandro Garnacho could all be in line for a call-up.

The growing injury list is a major concern for Manchester United, who are already struggling to find consistency this season. Amorim will be hoping that Mazraoui's injury is not serious and that he will be able to return to action soon.
