Manchester United's wait for a victory at Anfield continues, as they were denied a historic win in the dying seconds of the game. Despite a valiant effort and a goal from Lisandro Martínez, a late miss from Harry Maguire ensured the spoils were shared in a thrilling 2-2 draw.
The Red Devils arrived on Merseyside knowing the weight of history was against them. Their last victory at Anfield came in January 2016, a statistic that loomed large over the fixture. However, Rúben Amorim side showed great character and determination to put in a performance that suggested they were capable of ending the drought.
