Juventus are reportedly considering a shock loan move for Manchester United left-back Tyrell Malacia as they seek a replacement for the injured Danilo.
The Italian giants have been on the lookout for a versatile defender who can provide cover at both left-back and centre-back. Malacia, with his pace, athleticism and defensive prowess, has emerged as a potential target for the Old Lady.
Sources suggest that Juventus are exploring the possibility of a loan deal until the end of the season, with an option to buy included in the agreement. This would allow the Serie A club to assess the Dutch international's suitability for their system without committing to a permanent transfer.
Malacia has struggled for regular first-team football at Manchester United since joining from Feyenoord in the summer of 2022. Despite showing glimpses of his talent, the 24-year-old has found himself behind Luke Shaw in the pecking order at Old Trafford.
A move to Juventus would offer Malacia the opportunity to play regular first-team football and compete in the Champions League. The Italian club's rich history and passionate fanbase would also provide a significant challenge for the young defender.
Manchester United, meanwhile, could be open to letting Malacia leave on loan in order to free up a place in their squad for a new signing. With the January transfer window now open, the Red Devils are expected to be active in the market as they look to strengthen their squad ahead of the second half of the season.
A move to Juventus would represent a significant step forward in Malacia's career. However, it remains to be seen whether the two clubs can agree on a deal before the transfer window closes.
