Jadon Sancho's one-word comment on Marcus Rashford's Instagram post has ignited a firestorm of controversy among Manchester United fans.
Following his loan move to Aston Villa, Rashford made his debut for the club in their FA Cup victory over Tottenham Hotspur. The Englishman took to Instagram to express his gratitude to both Manchester United and Aston Villa for making the move possible.
However, it was the comment left by former United teammate Jadon Sancho that caught the attention of fans. Sancho, simply responded with the word "Freedom" and a series of celebratory emojis.
This brief but loaded comment has been interpreted by many United fans as a dig at the club. Some have accused Sancho of being disrespectful, while others have suggested that he is simply trying to justify his own decision to leave Old Trafford.
There are a number of reasons why United fans have been so upset by Sancho's comment. Firstly, many fans feel that Sancho did not give his all for the club during his time at Old Trafford. Secondly, the timing of the comment, coming just days after Rashford's departure, has been seen as a deliberate attempt to provoke United fans.
Sancho's comment has sparked a heated debate on social media, with fans from both Manchester United and Chelsea weighing in. Many United fans have called for Sancho to be sold permanently, while others have defended the player, arguing that he was simply expressing his feelings.
