Manchester United legend Rio Ferdinand has slammed the club's current situation following their 2-0 defeat to Crystal Palace at Old Trafford. The former defender expressed his disappointment with the team's performances and questioned the mentality of the players.
Ferdinand took to his YouTube channel to voice his concerns, stating, "Is anyone really surprised? I think this is just where we are right now. It's so strange to think that I've gotten to the point where I expect us to lose these games."
The former England international also criticized the lack of respect that United are currently receiving from their opponents. "Teams are going to Old Trafford with no respect, man. No respect at all," he said.
Ferdinand's comments come after United suffered their fifth home defeat in six games, leaving them languishing in 13th place in the Premier League. The team has struggled to find consistency under their new manager, and fans have become increasingly frustrated with the team's performances.
The former defender also highlighted the lack of a clear playing style at the club. "The team doesn't seem to be able to play football properly with the ball. We don't have a clear idea or patterns of play at the moment since the new manager arrived," Ferdinand added.
