Manchester United are on the verge of a significant overhaul of their attacking options. With the club looking to bolster their forward line, reports suggest that they are preparing to make a big-money move for one of Europe's most coveted strikers.
The Red Devils have been linked with a number of high-profile forwards in recent months, but three names have emerged as the frontrunners: Viktor Gyökeres, Victor Osimhen, and Harry Kane. Each of these players possesses the qualities that Erik ten Hag is looking for in a striker, namely a clinical finishing ability, aerial prowess, and the ability to hold up the play.
Viktor Gyökeres, the Swedish international, has been in impressive form for Coventry City this season. His physicality, aerial ability, and goal-scoring prowess have attracted the attention of several top European clubs, including Manchester United. The Swedish striker is expected to command a fee of around £60 million.
Victor Osimhen has been one of the most prolific strikers in Serie A in recent seasons. The Nigerian international's pace, power, and technical ability have made him a sought-after target for many of Europe's elite clubs. However, his release clause of £63 million could prove to be a stumbling block for Manchester United.
Harry Kane, the Tottenham Hotspur captain, has been linked with a move to Manchester United for several years. The England captain is widely regarded as one of the best strikers in the world, and his experience and leadership qualities would be a valuable asset to any team. However, his £67 million release clause could make a deal difficult to complete.
The decision of which striker to pursue will ultimately come down to a number of factors, including the player's availability, the transfer fee, and the player's willingness to join Manchester United. With the transfer window set to open in the summer, it is expected that the club will make a move for one of these players in the coming months.
