Jadon Sancho has responded to claims that his transfer exit from Manchester United to return to Borussia Dortmund is edging closer. The 23-year-old has endured a tough time since parting ways with the German club to join United in 2021, with just 12 goals to his name across his 82 appearances for the Red Devils.
On top of his poor form on the pitch, Sancho was also embroiled in a public fallout with Erik ten Hag after the United boss criticised his training levels prior to a clash against Arsenal back in September. Sancho issued the following response on his personal social media accounts: "I will not allow people saying things that is completely untrue, I have conducted myself in training very well this week. I believe there are other reasons for this matter that I won't go into, I've been a scapegoat for a long time which isn't fair!
Sancho was then frozen out of the United squad following the public fall-out, with the England international not making a single appearance for the club since the statement was released. Fast forward five months later to the present day, Sancho now looks set to end his United nightmare as he nears an exit from Old Trafford.
Journalist Fabrizio Romano issued an update on the future of Sancho, writing on X: "Jadon Sancho to Borussia Dortmund, here we go! Deal in place between Man United and BVB on loan, NO buy option. Understand Sancho can travel later today for medical. BVB will cover part of the salary plus loan fee. €4m package. Boarding completed."
The update was then 'liked' by Sancho on his account, as he reacted to the news that a deal to send him back to Dortmund was now edging closer. The winger was at Dortmund from 2017 to 2021 where he made 137 appearances for the club and recorded 50 goals, as well as adding a further 64 assists.
