The Manchester United forward has been linked with a move to Stamford Bridge this month, while Serie A side Napoli are also keen on a move for the 20-year-old.

In an update on the player's future, Romano said on Monday: “Alejandro Garnacho's situation remains open, the doors are not closed for the last two weeks. Napoli are still pushing with Antonio Conte, who had a direct call with Garnacho on Friday. Chelsea have contacted Manchester United directly to ask for conditions, and more talks are expected soon.”

Garnacho has scored eight goals in 32 appearances for United this season. He scored in the draw against City in the Community Shield at the start of the season and grabbed a brace in the 7-0 win over League One side Barnsley in the Carabao Cup. He has also found the net against Southampton, Brentford, Leicester City (in both the Premier League and the League Cup) and Bodo Glimt. United are willing to sell the forward if they receive a big enough offer.

The Chelsea Connection

The sighting of Garnacho's agent at Stamford Bridge has only fueled speculation that the Argentine winger could be on his way to London. Chelsea are in the market for a new forward and Garnacho's pace, trickery, and eye for goal make him an attractive proposition.

Napoli's Interest

However, Chelsea are not the only club interested in signing Garnacho. Napoli, who are managed by former Chelsea boss Antonio Conte, have also made a move for the young forward. Conte is said to be a big admirer of Garnacho and believes he could be a key player for his team.

Manchester United's Stance

Manchester United are reluctant to lose one of their brightest young talents but are open to selling Garnacho if the price is right. The club are in need of funds to reinvest in the squad and a big-money sale for Garnacho would help to balance the books.

The Player's Future

Garnacho has a big decision to make about his future. A move to Chelsea or Napoli would give him the opportunity to play Champions League football and work with some of the best coaches in the world. However, he would also be leaving a club where he has come through the youth ranks and where he has already made a significant impact.

What Next?

The next few weeks are likely to be crucial in determining Garnacho's future. Both Chelsea and Napoli are expected to step up their pursuit of the player, and it remains to be seen whether Manchester United will be able to resist their offers.
