Former Manchester United defender Paul Parker has launched a scathing attack on young forward Alejandro Garnacho, accusing the Argentine of being "selfish" and claiming that Marcus Rashford has had a negative influence on him.

Parker, who won three Premier League titles with United in the 1990s, believes that Garnacho's style of play is detrimental to the team. "He's very selfish, and I'm afraid he's learned a lot from Rashford, which is a shame," Parker told Apostagolos. "I'm not a big fan of his, and I think he's one of the reasons why Rasmus Hojlund hasn't got everything he deserved this season."

Despite his concerns, Parker did acknowledge Garnacho's fighting spirit. "What I like about him is his desire to compete," Parker said. "He's got that Argentine fire. I just think he's using it in the wrong way."

Garnacho has been a regular fixture in the Manchester United first team since breaking into the side last season. However, his performances have been inconsistent, and he has often been criticized for his selfishness.

A Divided Opinion

Parker's comments have sparked a debate among Manchester United fans. Some agree with the former defender, arguing that Garnacho needs to improve his all-round game. Others, however, believe that Parker is being too harsh on the young player and that he needs time to develop.

Garnacho himself has not responded publicly to Parker's criticism. However, it is clear that the young forward has a lot of potential, and he will be hoping to prove his doubters wrong in the coming seasons.
